This analysis will review scenes/shots of interest in the Peacekeeper Wars trailer and will not necessarily include every single shot. Standard reactionary shots of, say, Stark looking awed or Pilot looking distressed may not be analyzed here if there is nothing else about them that seems interesting. However, if you think I've missed a shot or something of interest, then shoot me a line, and I'll include your thoughts.

Otherwise, a complete gallery of each shot can be found here.

Why not discuss this in our forums?

First, some things about trailers in general and this one in particular:

  • Trailer scenes are never in chronological order. In fact, you can never guarantee that the reaction shot you see when someone is speaking is from the same scene at all.
  • The voice over guy? Those lines he speaks mean nothing. They are meant to get your juices flowing. They are not telling you plot points or giving you "hints" or "clues."
  • There's also no guarantee that every scene in the trailer is from the mini-series (witness the first several shots).
  • The trailer never, ever shows you all of the story. Notice that even though we know from IMDB that Jool, Jack (or Ancient Jack) and Noranti appear in the mini-series, they are nowhere to be seen.
